Dr. Depp has been a member of the Audiology Team at Audio Recovery since 1994. He began his career as a civil engineer and became interested in Audiology when he met Dr. J.V.D. Hough, M.D. at the Hough Ear Institute in Oklahoma City in 1991. Dr. Depp graduated with a Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He also holds a Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. He was awarded a Certificate in Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Depp is married and has two adult children. He enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering at a local free clinic. Dr. Depp is originally from Thailand. He knows the experience of coming to a new country far from home. He and his wife have been volunteering with a local group that welcomes international students. Dr. Depp and his colleagues also have given free seminars at the University of Central Oklahoma preparing international students before they return to their home country. He has also participated in medical mission trips to Nicaragua and Thailand.

“My engineering background deepens my understanding of hearing aids and sound technology. The technology that is now available to help improve our patients’ hearing is incredible!”

What is your professional passion?
“My passion is to help the patient and their family to understand that improving one’s hearing through hearing aids is a process, almost like rehab. Much of my time is spent helping patients to know what it takes to successfully use hearing aids, and how to achieve the best realistic results for their hearing.”
Volunteer activities?
Dr. Depp is originally from Thailand, and knows the experience of coming to a new country far from home. He and his wife have been serving with a group at their church which helps international students. Dr, Depp and his colleagues also give seminars regularly at the University of Central Oklahoma preparing international students before they return to their home country. In addition, he is a volunteer audiologist at a free clinic in Edmond.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
“Coffee.”
